Born and brought up in Chembur, a Mumbai suburb, in the 80s, Raghu Kumar has his first brush with filmstars as a child. Ever since, he is intrigued by the workings of Bollywood. In the 90s, Raghu is hired by popular film journalist Rajeev Mehra for the prestigious newspaper The News. His big story is an interview of yesteryear star Parveen Babi. Thus starts his tryst with journalism. He then moves on to reporting for news channels, with his own programme. But all is not hunky-dory! A trap is laid by a senior colleague to trip Raghu up and he walks right into it. It takes him two years to bounce back. Despite doing well, hobnobbing with top filmstars and getting invited to the best parties in town, why does Raghu hate Bollywood? Rohit Khilnanis book seems personal and passionate in equal measures laced with genuine fraternity ethos. Its a compelling and an insightful read. Karan Johar I Hate Bollywood takes an interesting look at the film industry from a reporters point of view. I have known Rohit as a journalist and as a friend for over a decade now; he has proven his credibility. I have valued his feedback time and again. His first book is a very interesting reflection of his work. Hrithik Roshan A scrumptious read with Rohits insights and experiences, the book is on my favourites list. A must read and then a must keep! Kareena Kapoor Khan I Hate Bollywood is a superb account of a reporter covering Bollywood. This is a story worth reading. Ranveer Singh I Hate Bollywood is a fiction story with a lot of real accounts of a reporter who has been around for 15 years in film journalism. This book is a reflection of his work. Ajay Devgn Rohit Khilnani understands the film industry like no journalist does. He is a true insider who knows what goes on in the inner sanctum of showbiz. Mahesh Bhatt I Hate Bollywood helped me understand a reporters mind. Anil Kapoor There are many books on films and actors but I Hate Bollywood is a different book, which is written on Bollywood from a reporters point of view. Totally worth your time! Riteish Deshmukh
